“The Holy Spirit is a gentleman.”

Colleen, a deacon in my church, started out her sermon with this statement today. This struck a chord in me that few sermons or lessons have done.

He is a gentleman. Just let that sink in. The Lord will not force His way in, violently breaking down your walls as he rushes into your heart. You have to make the choice to let Him in. He loves you so much, so He gives you that choice. That is real love.

To the kind followers who have been asking for photography advice recently - I will writing a short little post soon with a few tips and random things I’ve learned and gear suggestions. I get questions like that pretty frequently, so it’s about time!

Meanwhile - practice, practice, practice. And only shoot what you love, not what you think other people will pay for, or what you think you should shoot just because that’s what other photographers do.

I am so excited about today’s wedding. Family farm, gorgeous dress with drop veil, a gold harp for the ceremony music, poetry reading, ceremony under some huge trees next to an old stone wall, and the reception at a cafe in town.

I am so blessed to do this for a living!
